Ponga begins here, and it’ll take your senses on a journey. You’ll first notice a sun-shiny clarity to the wine. Domaine de l'Ile Cotes de Provence

This is a distinct rosé from the small island of Porquerolles, which sits just off the coast of southern France about halfway between Marseille and St. Tropez. It's made of equal parts Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvedre and Tibouren, the indigenous Provencal variety that gives the wines it's striking copperish hue. While the wine is noticeably elegant, it shows a power and complexity that really sets it apart. You can serve it on its own at the start of a meal, but it's most at home on the table next to shrimp dishes and lightly prepared fish and white meat. If you think rosé can't be a serious drink, you'll change your mind after sitting down with a bottle of this wine.
